There are 4 marina’s on this huge lake. Duke’s Hideaway marina, Harbor Cove Marina, Mountain View Marina and Shook’s Marina are them.

Most of the property around this lake is TVA or USFS land. We have over 96,000 acres of USFS lands in Cherokee County NC (great for hunting in NC). When you travel by boat on this lake you see nature , eagles, swimming deer or wild turkeys on the bank. I have personaly see all of these things. About 28 mi. long and this is my place to unwind.

Don’t confuse Hiawassee with Hiwassee. The first is Hiawasse Georgia and the other is how North Carolina spells Hiwassee.
